2006: Software developer PopSoft IT today announced the release
of version 1.3 of their Windows based motion picture film scanning
and conforming software application, Film Fusion.
Film Fusion
is designed to
dramatically reduce the time needed to create timecode,
keycode and frame count scanning lists for motion picture negative
scanning for digital intermediaries as well as traditional negative
cutting. The time required can be reduced from several hours for a
manual process to just minutes with Film Fusion.
Version 1.3 contains
several new features many of which are specifically designed for
scanning and recording facilities. Key features include:
- 35mm 3-Perf
support.
- Optimized
scanning EDLs for digital intermediaries.
- Export
Arriscan scanning lists.
- Hand held
(laser) barcode reader support.
- Converting
element logs to assemblies (cut lists).
Film Fusion
is currently being used by leading post production facilities around
the world including the USA, UK, Hong Kong and Australia.
A Film Fusion
